Location. Uma Ubud is a holistic resort located on the fringe of Ubud in south central Bali, Indonesia. This property overlooks the rolling Tjampuhan Valley. The River Oos flows below, while a mountain rises above the hotel.
Hotel Features. This resort, designed by Koichiro Ikebuchi, harmonizes with Bali's natural beauty. Opened in 2004, Uma Ubud is a retreat dedicated to a holistic philosophy that extends to the on site restaurant. Kemiri Restaurant, under the command of an Australian chef, serves southeast Asian inspired cuisine enhanced with local organic ingredients. Communication needs are addressed via wireless Internet access which is available in the lobby, the library, the bar and the restaurant. COMO Shambhala Retreat at Uma Ubud offers Asian influenced holistic therapies. Spa amenities include an open air yoga pavilion where complimentary yoga classes are taught, a meditation bale, a reflexology area, a steam room, a sauna and a fitness center. The fitness facility houses four treatment rooms and an expansive jade hued outdoor pool.
